It's that time of the year again...

Packing bags and leaving for home. Ravi promptly taking me to the bus stop as usual to see me off. But this time around I had a funny nagging feeling. I left for Bangalore the very day my exam was over. Was I really in such a hurry to come back home? I for one moment was overpowered by a dose of premature nostalgia. Hmnmnmnm. Life goes on. So let me stop this serious stuff for a while and switch to simplicity...so that iG may refrain from complaining about my supposedly incomprehensible blogs.

This time I wanted to save some cash (I ended up saving virtually zilch :( ) and give some relief to my back. So I decided to take a sleeper bus. Just to avoid the jerks, I chose an upper berth. Phew! What a roller coaster ride that was. The place was too small for my frame (I have an action plan to get this back in shape :D ) and there was hardly anything to keep me from falling off! And every time the driver took a curvy turn, I could be found with one half of me out of the berth and the other trying to keep from slipping out too. A balancing act. A gripping experience. Literally!!!

After I reached Bangalore all in one piece, there was the usual bargaining war with the rickshaw drivers. But then it was such a nice feeling reaching home. The first thing that caught my eye was an amazing painting of little Lord Ganesha in a dancing pose, deftly created by my talented sister on a large cane canvas (I remember rummaging through several handicrafts shops looking for a plain one…I patted myself on my back when I did find one). I could not take my eyes off the exquisite painting for atleast 5 minutes. I think it is her best piece of work so far, not to forget another nifty Tanjore painting of Krishna and Rukmini that she made earlier, besides scores of others. Our abode is adorned with her creative works, each one of them spellbinding. Needless to say, she is one helluva whiz kid.

As for me, life is just an alternating sequence of hogging, sleeping, hogging, sleeping... ... ...n.
